Therapy for college and university students

I work with college and university students dealing with stress, anxiety, ADHD, or the pressures of being away from home for the first time.

How I work with students

Sessions are practical and fit around a timetable. Online sessions work from residence or wherever you are in Ontario, and in-person sessions are available in Peterborough.

I work mainly from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with CBT and DBT skills where they fit. Most sessions are about building skills you can use during the term.

Fees

$150

per 60-minute session, in person or online. Receipts for extended health benefits. A limited number of reduced-fee spots.

Fees and FAQ

How it starts

  1. 1A free 15-minute consultation call. You describe what is going on and I explain how I would approach it.
  2. 2If it makes sense, a first session in person in Peterborough or online anywhere in Ontario.
  3. 3How often we meet depends on what we are working on, and we review it together.

Questions

Can I do sessions online from residence?
Yes. Online sessions are by secure video and work from anywhere in Ontario.
Does my student health plan cover this?
Most do, up to a yearly amount. Check your plan for the words "Registered Psychotherapist" or "psychotherapy". You pay for the session and submit the receipt.
