Therapy during pregnancy and parenting

I work with women during pregnancy and after birth, including anxiety, low mood, and the adjustment to parenting, and with parents who want support around their child.

How I work with pregnancy and parents

Online sessions work around feeds and naps. In-person sessions are available in Peterborough.

For parents, I also offer a 60-minute educational consultation focused on your child: what you are seeing at home and at school, what any assessments say, and what might help. Details on the home page under Educational consultation.

Fees

$150

per 60-minute session, in person or online. Receipts for extended health benefits. A limited number of reduced-fee spots.

Fees and FAQ

How it starts

  1. 1A free 15-minute consultation call. You describe what is going on and I explain how I would approach it.
  2. 2If it makes sense, a first session in person in Peterborough or online anywhere in Ontario.
  3. 3How often we meet depends on what we are working on, and we review it together.

Questions

Can I bring my baby to sessions?
Ask when you get in touch. Online sessions can usually work around a baby; for in-person sessions we can talk through what would work.
Is therapy covered by insurance?
Most extended health benefits plans cover Registered Psychotherapists up to a yearly amount. You pay for the session, I give you a receipt with my CRPO registration number, and you submit it to your plan.
